We were delighted to hear from wind developers, operators, survey contractors, environmental consultants and leading industry organisations on upcoming projects, new technologies and innovations, alternative energy progression and enjoy exclusive networking opportunities with industry professionals and members of the supply chain representing the whole of the energy sector here in the East of England.<\/p>\n\n

Hydrogen East Roadshows – February 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

EEEGR was pleased to partner with Hydrogen East to host a series of roadshows across East Anglia in support of Hydrogen Week. The opening roadshow took place at OrbisEnergy where the event was opened by East of England Hydrogen Cluster Chair Anne Haase of Aquaterra Energy. The following two events were held at Holkham Hall and Colchester Rugby Club. <\/p>\n\n

EEEGR Members Breakfast – December<\/strong> 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

EEEGR’s last members breakfast of 2023 acted as the official launch of our Onshore Renewables Sector Council, established in conjunction with Ceraphi Energy. To provide an overview and the aims of the sector council, we were joined by Karl Farrow of Ceraphi and steering committee members Paul Rees of SSE Energy Solutions and Andy Hilton of Muirhall Energy.<\/p>\n\n

EEEGR’s penultimate Members Breakfast of 2023 was kindly sponsored by Virginia Beach. Paige Fox provided an update on the project so far with Ian Robertson of Seajacks speaking about the route taken to the build their new Wind Turbine Installation Vessel \u201cCharybdis\u201d specially for the contract. Innovate UK also provided an interesting presentation on the funding opportunities available for UK- US wind collaboration R&D.<\/p>\n\n

House of Commons Reception<\/h4>\n\n

The EEEGR House of Commons Reception was postponed from September 2022 to January 2023. This event saw over 170 attendees from the energy industry in the East arrive at Westminster to grab the attention of the nations politicians to highlight the extraordinary work happening in the East of England.<\/p>\n\n
