Jonathan Rudd, Laura Mayne, and Sophia Padget have joined the Freeport East team as Project Delivery Officers and will operate across a wide range of Freeport East\u2019s programme of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new joiners will contribute to Freeport East priorities for 2025 which include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acting as a catalyst to drive decarbonisation in the region and beyond, through impactful initiatives such as Freeport East\u2019s Green Corridor Partnership with East Midlands Freeport, delivery of greater clean energy provision in our local area, support to develop supply chains for the offshore wind sector and encouraging investment in greener transport;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unlocking sustainable growth at each of the freeport development sites in Harwich, Felixstowe and Gateway 14 by investing in infrastructure and attracting a range of attractive investors and employers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with universities and other local partners to create an ecosystem where innovation can thrive, attract new inward investment and deliver benefits for the local area, and;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ongoing implementation of the Freeport East Clean Growth Fund and Skills and Innovation Fund, which between them are investing \u00a31m in a range of high-growth local businesses, as well as universities, colleges and other skills providers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Beel, Chief Executive of Freeport East, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to welcome Sophia, Laura and Jonathan to the Freeport East team &#8211; they all bring deep local knowledge of Essex and Suffolk together with expertise in a range of areas of economic development, inward investment and programme delivery.&nbsp;With the Government looking for growth, and the Industrial Strategy providing enormous opportunities for our region, we\u2019re looking forward to the three of them contributing in our mission to attract new investment, create jobs and extend the benefits of growth throughout our local communities.\u201d With additional team members dedicated to helping deliver the aims and objectives of Freeport East the team will be able to further collaborate with local authorities, leading international investors, high-potential local businesses and regional universities to drive investment, growth and productivity and bring positive change to our region that will last for generations to come.<br><br>You can find out more details about Freeport East and these opportunities at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freeporteast.com\">www.freeporteast.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Freeport East is strengthening its ability to support regional economic growth with the addition of three new team members.
